Commissioned assembly of components into subassemblies, products or complete equipment, and integrated contract manufacture to customer requirements. Includes mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronics assembly, cable and harness assembly, box builds, custom machine and system builds, vehicle bodybuilding and vessel newbuilding or integrated outfitting. Also includes prototype-to-series and transferred production programmes whose deliverable is manufactured goods, with sourcing, design support, testing, packing, installation or dispatch only to the agreed scope. A discrete joining operation or fabricated structure remains with Welding, joining & fabrication even when subcontracted. Standalone engineering, controls integration, inspection, repair and logistics are not implied by an integrated delivery.
